The TV weather report was supposed to inform viewers about the arrival of spring in Moscow.

But video shows the moment a passing dog stole the show by leaping up and grabbing the reporter’s microphone from her grasp.

Mir TV weather reporter Nadezhda Serezhkina can be seen running after the Labrador Retriever to try and recover the equipment in the Sparrow Hills overlooking the Russian capital.

Serezhkina had started the live broadcast by telling the studio presenter: ‘Hello Elina, spring has arrived in Moscow, the temperature will be 8 degrees Celsius, nine degrees Celcius…’

‘Stay with us, it’s interesting,’ said Elina. ‘Nadezhda Serezhkina was on a direct link with us when a dog made it on our live broadcast.’

Nadezhda is then seen shaking the dog’s paw.
